HIGHLANDS

A one-hour drive north of Glasgow or Edinburgh will bring you to the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands. As you leave the bustling Lowland cities behind, the landscape transforms dramatically-rolling hills give way to towering peaks, misty glens, and mirror-like lochs, where nature feels wild and untamed. From the dramatic ridges of Glencoe to the windswept shores of the Isle of Skye, the Highlands offer a breathtaking film location.

CITIES

From the cobbled medieval streets of York to the sleek modern skyline of London and the charming docklands of Glasgow, the UK’s cities offer an extraordinary range of locations, with each telling a different story. York’s ancient walls evoke centuries past. London’s mix of historic and contemporary architecture offer variety. Glasgow’s distinctive architecture and cinematic light make it a favorite stand-in for cities around the world.

COUNTRYSIDE

From the rolling hills of the Cotswolds to the windswept cliffs of Cornwall and the rugged peaks of Snowdonia, the British countryside offers an incredible variety of landscapes for your production, including misty moors, tranquil meadows and dense woodlands. Whether you’re shooting a historical epic, sportswear commercial, or a travel documentary, the UK countryside’s natural beauty and ever-changing light provide a cinematic canvas for diverse and captivating stories filmed.

COASTLINE

Stretching from the white cliffs of Dover to the wild shores of Northumberland and the sandy bays of Cornwall, the British coastline offers an unmatched range of settings. Golden beaches, craggy headlands, quaint fishing villages, and bustling seaside towns provide endless visual variety within easy reach of major production hubs.

FORESTS

The UK’s forests offer filmmakers atmospheric diversity, from the ancient beech avenues of Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean to the towering pines of Scotland’s Galloway Forest Park. Their dramatic light, varied terrain, and rich folklore create visually striking and versatile backdrops for everything from nature-set commercials to fantasy epics and historical dramas.
